AppleSetupDone - admin account

I changed my username and the account became standard from admin.

I tried Command S and then reached to the file AppleSetupDone. But it is not letting me remove the file. It says that it is a read only file system. I have followed all the specific commands. Please help.

how to set an admin account how do you set up an admin account? i cant open the lock in system preferences. if i use other methods eg Boot into Single User Mode it says it cannot find rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone.

Administrator rights for my original user account restored after being lost I had problems: I mistakingly deleted the administrator rights from my original user account. Consequently, I could not unlock my users & group preferences and could not install new applications on my iMac using the name and the password from my original account. Did you have a space between /db/ and .applesetupdone?

Type : /sbin/fsck -fy

Type : /sbin/mount – uw / this will mount your file system Read & Write
