macOS Mojave (10.14.5) cannot communicate with the scanner v800 Photo

my Epson V800 Photo which purchased in April 2018 was running just fine using USB cable to connect with Epson Scan Software, before the Epson Scan went to not responding and i got message "cannot communicate with the scanner...".

The Scanner, however, shows in system preferences->printers and scanners.

I've tried these following troubleshooting, but nothing to avail, as follow:

1. Uninstal/Reinstall with the latest update of the Epson Scanner’s software;

2. Uninstal/reinstal silverfast.

3. Reset Twain in Image Capture;

4. SMC Reset/ NVram reset on Mac

Should you have any advise on how to fix this communication error issue, please let me know.

Many thank in advance.

MacBook Air 11", macOS 10.14

I’m just guessing, but have you already tried to use a different usb-port to connect your Epson scanner to your Mac?

It’s not an Mojave 10.14.5 issue, because it works for me.

You could also try in Safe Mode
