createinstall media error message.

I am trying to create a bootable usb drive to install Mojave on a MacBook Pro with an empty drive. I am getting:

"To use this tool, you must download the macOS installer application on a Mac with 10.12.5 or later, or El Capitan 10.11.6."

However, I am, in fact, using 10.12.6, so it should be working. Anyone else getting this or have a solution?

Why can't the Mojave installer work. I get a error message that reads "unable to install because the downloaded file is corrupt ". I can't install Mojave with this install method. Is there another way ? A DMG Install file would be nice I get this error message from the Apple Site that reads : "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS. " Is there a way to fix this issue? Is a there a DMG Install File available for Mojave ? Can or will Apple repair their own website ?

USB Mojave Install bootable Flash drive instructions creates vicious circle. When attempting to install a bootable USB Mojave installer, after downloading the installer and following the instructions given on the Apple support page I followed these instructions, but after step 4 I got a message saying I must download the installer (I have already) and go to this page (the Apple Support page detailing the instructions I was following....possibly the one you are reading). What you need is the full macOS installer. It must be located in your Applications folder. You cannot create a bootable installer from your installed version of macOS.
