I have began setting up my new phone. I have restored back up and done the new software update and now it's asking for my Apple ID and password, which I have entered numerous times. Each time I’m getting a message “Error getting account info”. I cannot proceed any further until this is sorted

I’ve been in contact with an advisor. There’s problems with iCloud, which they are currently trying to resolve. As soon as this is sorted, I should be able to sign in.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
