Apple Watch does not track miles correctly

I run with many others and they all have Garmin or Samsung. My Apple Watch constantly says I am going farther and thus faster than everyone else. My Apple Watch says 6 miles while theirs ALL say 5.5 and I have confirmed that the distance is exactly 5.5 miles, by driving it.

Privacy / System Services are all on and Apple Store confirmed the watch is up to date and performing correctly. I reset Fitness Calibration, but this supposedly doesn't impact distance calculation.

Regretting selling my old Garmin !!

Hi Julieda,

I did try this but have the same result. The Apple Watch continues to overstate mileage by quite a bit. I am thinking that it is not using GPS, like Garmin and others do, but rather some stride or step method?

Reset your watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.
