iPhone music player repeats the last few seconds of a song

Someone else had this same question but I couldn't add a comment to it.

On my phone (iPhone X, iOS 12.3.1), sometimes when you're playing music, the player will get to the end of the track, and then repeat the last few seconds of the song before proceeding to the next track. It's semi intermittent and seems to go away for a little while if I close all other apps. Does this happen to anyone else?
