How to find a genuine iPhone

um going to purchase an iPhone from my friend. It’s already a sealed box, so how can I verify it, where if it’s fake or not

Go here to look up the serial number but open the box and make sure the device is working. A box means nothing. Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
