Every time I disconnect my phone from carplay it becomes unresponsive. I can't open apps or shut it down, only fix I have found is to take repeated screenshots until the phone crashes and the os reboots. Is there a better method to restart the phone ?

While it is not normal for the phone to freeze when being removed from CarPlay, the easiest way to get the phone working again at that point is a force restart.
