itunes problem

i have a serious problem with my itunes in my macbook.

i'm trying to quit from it but it is not working at all. and i tried to shut down my computer many times but it would not work. so i'm little bit worry now and i don't know actually what to do...

can you please help me to solve my problem?

Hold the power button on your computer for five or six seconds to force it to shut down.

Hold down option+cmd when starting iTunes to open it in safe mode. This may sometimes resolve issues with the library.

See if iTunes will now open and close normally.
