I have tried everything.
No side controls
No portrait orientation in Controls or General
Does anyone have a suggestion to try?
The app I’m trying is GoFund Me and Pimsleur.
Sooo frustrated.

Barbara, not all apps rotate. If however, none of your apps rotate, from the upper right hand corner of your iPad screen swipe down from the top to bring up Control Center. If you see an icon with a lock in it and it is red, tap it. That will return screen rotation to your iPad.
Not all apps rotate.
If you open up Safari, does it rotate between portrait and landscape?
If so, that means the apps you're trying don't rotate.
