disable earth and satellites maps safari

How do I disable and remover "earth and satellites maps" redirect? I can't find it in the preferences or extensions of safari.

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Probably lurking in your Safari Cache.


  1. Quit Safari.
  2. Press and hold the shift key while launching Safari. Nothing will load.
  3. Safari : Clear History… all history : Clear History.
  4. Safari Preferences : Advanced tab : [√] Show Develop menu in menu bar
    1. Press option+command+e to clear your browser cache
  5. Quit Safari


I recommend that you download and run the free Malwarebytes for Mac as a precaution that you may have ad/malware attempting to control your Safari session. You may or may not receive a quarantine dialog and option to remove found ad/malware. Then relaunch Safari normally.


f the problem remains, systematically deactivate your Safari extensions in Safari Preferences : Extensions tab, until the issue is gone.
