can a cracked screen make your phone run hot

my screen is cracked on my iphone and where the crack is, it gets really hot. Is this caused by the cracked screen or is there something else wrong??

If you are concerned about this, call your local Apple Store and make an appointment for them to check it out for you. Afterwards they will tell you your alternatives.
