I have an iPhone 12 that’s a year old and recently dropped it and got the screen replaced but ever since my phone heats up after using it for a few minutes and when I lock my phone my screen will continue to come on and off as if I’m pressing my lock button on and off then continues to heat up even more unless turned off

Hello ~ Yes indeed…well at this point your only option may be to take it back there and have them replace it again. Have you tried a forced restart? Just in case…

You can always try and contact Apple Support but there’s an excellent chance they will not touch it now.

Hello ~ Did you get it replaced at Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider? If so take your iPhone back and have it checked. If you got it replaced somewhere else that is the issue. Post back with more details.

she Told me to basically just buy a new phone and that he could give me a good deal , told me parts were 100% genuine and be cheaper than getting it done in apple which ended up me paying more in the long run

The only way they could legitimately obtain "genuine" parts would be to salvage them from other iPhones that were discarded as defective or damaged or which were stolen.
I got it fixed elsewhere, big mistake
