Can I have two iCloud accounts on one device?

I want to be able to send iMessages and use FaceTime for two different iCloud addresses for one account. Is this possible? If so, how? If not, why?

You can only be signed into Messages/FaceTime with one Apple ID at a time. To use two addresses, you would need to sign out of one address and then sign in with the other address. While signed in with the second address, you wouldn't have access to the messages from the first address.
