No way to recover deleted content in Notes app....?

I recently was taking down some inspiration in my notes app, and set it down next to me for a few moments. Some inadvertent pressure from my leg accidentally deleted (the content - not the note itself) two years worth of thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. The "shake to undo" proved worthless.

Is there any way to recover the data I accidentally deleted....?

This seems like an obvious flaw, as all apps have undo functions these days. If I screw something up in photoshop, I can undo about 60 times. Same goes for Word, Powerpoint, Pages, Keynote - darn near every other app can do it.

I'm never using Notes again until this is fixed.

iCloud is supposed to be a safe place to back stuff up, not a poisoned well.

As per this article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT205773

Set up Notes with iCloud.

To set up Notes with iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then turn on Notes , this setting should be always turned as on if you create some notes in the device they will immediately reflect in www.icloud.com and can be viewed by signing in with Apple ID and password used in iPhone , this will sync the notes data on iCloud server account , if you delete the notes they can be recovered before 3o days , after the time limit they are automatically deleted from the iCloud server .

See this article https://support.apple.com/kb/ph21257?locale=en_US

In your post you mentioned that two years have gone by , the notes are deleted and can't be recovered from iCloud server ( not sure if you have been running time machine always , in that scenario the notes can be recovered ) .
