About my new iphone

Hello, so I had got an iPhone 7 from a friend and when I got the phone from them. I’m having trouble logging into it. I when through the normal settings and it’s asking for the Original Apple ID information. How can I take that off and put mind in. And yes I have tried to contact the person and they aren’t replying back.
