Is there a way someone can change how a message is received? My daughters all of a sudden go Green when I send but my son who can be right next to me go fine.

In order for a message to be sent as an iMessage, both parties need to be logged into iMessage and have an active data connection (either WiFi or cellular). It's possible that your daughter doesn't have a data connection for some reason.

You need to get your daughter her own Apple ID. Until you do, you'll keeping having issues
I think when you said she was on your account IdrisSeabright assumed that you meant you were sharing an Apple ID. Are they all being sent as SMS messages or is this a once in a while thing?
If it’s a once in a while thing it can just be a flakey WiFi connection.

That’s what’s so weird. My son can be sitting next to me, sent her a text and it goes fine. My go green. I’m new to this so I’m sorry if I’m in a learning curve. Thank you so much for the help!
everyone else in the rooms texts go fine. That’s why I thought she did something . Also, thank you for you kind help.
This is a once in a while thing. Sometimes I send the texts and they are blue. Then the next time I look they have changed to green and say delivered as text.
