I cannot create a new folder and/or rename the files when i try to save a bank statement/pdf on iphone

Is it serious ?

I opened a bank statement in pdf format, press save to files or create PDF, choose the location to save eg. google drive or icloud, and i cannot find anyway to add a new folder or save as a new file name.

I tried on ally bank, discover bank app or even just the safari

Is there any tricks to do it ? i tried swipe up down left right long press soft press but no go.

I need to download all files first and organize/rename under the "Files" app ?

iPhone 7, iOS 12

I understand from your post that you are not able to create new folders within the Files app. The following article will provide you with the steps necessary to create a new folder:

Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

"Create new folders

Go to Locations.
Tap iCloud Drive, On My [device], or the name of a third-party cloud service where you want to keep your new folder.
If you choose On My [device], tap an existing Pages, Numbers, or Keynote folder.
Swipe down on the screen.
Tap .
Enter the name of your new folder. Then tap Done.

If you don't see or it's gray, then the third-party cloud service doesn't support new folders."

No unfortunately it doesn't give you the option to create it while saving a file through another app this is expected behaviour.

However i would like to know if i can create a new folder "when" i save the files instead of create the folder with the "files" app "before" i save the files.

"rename" is another problem, i can't rename the file when i save it ?

eg when i save my bank statement but they were all called statement.pdf so i hope that i can rename them with month & year when i save them.
