How to restore pictures after doing backup to computer and icloud?

Please help me restore my pictures.

I did a backup of my pictures from the ipad to the icloud and computer.

The pictures was in my shared stream file and now I can't find them at all.

It does not allow me to restore the pictures from itunes, iclouds nor my ipad. I check the computer folders and no pictures.

I looked for information online and nothing works. Even tried to do Restore Backup from itunes and that did not work. It actually deleted a few pictures that was left. The downloaded PhoneRescue but that was a waste of time. It said free download, but it required the purchase in order to use it. what a waste of time. Please someone help me get my pictures back. Thank you in advance.

Note: Ipad with iOS 8.4.1 and using windows 8. I was just trying to safe my pictures prior to doing a software update.
