Typing will not work after a few minutes within Safari. When I hook up my external USB keyboard, it doesn’t work either. I’ve disabled ALL Safari extensions—that did not make a difference. I even had my whole keyboard replaced! Driving me nuts.

If you're still having trouble, try seeing if this same problem occurs in safe mode. Be aware that internet access is limited in safe mode, but sometimes just starting in this mode and then restarting normally can resolve issues like this: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support
