That, combined with your MacBook Pro model, indicates a failure of the graphics hardware that has plagued so many Late 2007 and early 2008 MacBook Pros to the point that few work today. Apple had generous program that they extended twice to fix it (required a new logic board) but it finally expired at the end of 2012. So many units were affected that finding a "new old stock" logic board is nearly impossible. Most of the boards are "used/pulled" and are already affected.


I have two affected MacBook Pros, a Late 2007 15-inch and an Early 2008 17-inch, sitting by my desk, Both death certificates says "Nvidea Curse," named for the defective Nvidea 8600M GT graphics processors that ruined so many computers (and not just Macs)..


Some may recommend drastic at-home procedures that Apple will probably remove, but even starting these is more challenging that the average computer user can accomplish due to the difficult takeapart and the delicate connectors involved. You were granted many more years of service that the majority of us who owned these models. Time to say goodbye.
