Macbook Pro late 2013 - key not working properly

I have a macbook pro, 15" retina model, late 2013. About 2 or 3 days ago my t key stopped working properly. All my other keys are perfectly functional. The t still works, but you have to punch it several times back to back for it to type a t, then it works for a few minutes, but then seems to go back to "sleep". None of my other keys have this issue. I tried cleaning my keyboard with compressed air, didn't get a fix, and then took the key itself off to clean underneath, but I still have the same result, which makes me confident this isn't a dust/cleaning issue. I'm currently in japan for about a week and a half so I don't have the ability to bring it into a apple store until I return. Anything I can try in the meantime?
