MacBook Air loses internet connection, but not wifi

I have had a problem that has plagued me for a couple of months now. My MacBook Air will lose its connection to the internet, while staying connected to wifi. I have tried all the Wifi and network troubleshooting advices in suggested in prior posts, to no avail. I have changed my DNS numbers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, also to no avail. I have added a bluetooth wifi antenna, to see if that would stay connected, and that did not work either. I have tried creating a new user account, and I have encountered the problem there, too.

From what I have been able to observe, I lose the connection any time I click on a link that opens a new tab or a pop-up.

This problem does not occur when I am in safe mode.
