USB media not working

If your iphone when plugged through usb to your car only charges but fails to play music you should go to settings > Face ID and passcode > scroll down and turn on USB accessories

it should work just fine after.

Apple Car Play stopped working this week As I was driving, the map on my dashboard went out and there was a message to connect an iPhone to the USB port. I received a notification that a Software update to my iPhone, version 15.2.1 would fix bugs so that Apple Car Play would work better. I downloaded the updated IOS. Still getting the error message and have an appointment with Volkswagen but I really don't think it is a faulty USB port. I think the phone isn't being recognized.

I have tried everything and my apple car play still wont work for my phone. My boyfriends phone works perfectly but mine does not. It happened randomly without me updating anything on my phone. I need to connect my phone to the usb port for the carplay to work and one day it just stopped popping up. I have restarted my phone and checked everything.

IPhone USB Message:"This Media Cannot be Used" charges phone but will not play music I have an IPhone X. I plug my USB in to my truck and it says "This media cannot be used" however, it still charges my phone. What can I do to fix this? I have cleaned the port with rubbing alcohol and checked my settings and everything seems to be normal. I even did the most recent update after it started doing this.
