MacBook Pro always hibernates at battery level 51% and cannot switch back on unless connecting power cord

My MacBook Pro always hibernates at battery level 51% to 52%

If I long-press the power button, it shows drain battery screen and cannot switch back on unless I connect power cord.

Is it a macOS issue or a battery life issue?

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Could be a battery replacement is in order. If you leave it sit for 8-12 hours after it "dies" try charging it all the way up and see if it resets the battery life. Another thing you can try is to reset the SMC.

Nope, everything seems normal, but when battery down to 50%, the screen turns off without any notification.

Then I press the power button, it shows a battery icon on the black screen. After I connect the power cord and press the power button, it comes back from hibernate.

My model: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
