Bluetooth speaker connected but sound comes from built-in speakers

Hello everyone,

So I have several bluetooth speakers and headphones and they connect to my Macbook Pro but the sound keeps coming out from built in speakers which is extremely annoying to say the least.

I know the solution is in Preferences > Sound > Output and selecting the bluetooth speaker but SERIOUSLY?? Do I have to do this every time I want to use my bluetooth devices? (Which I've been doing for a while now)

The issue just started out of the blue and it is not only in one device and NO deleting device and repairing it doesn't solve the problem.

Being Apple there must be another way to give a definitive solution to this issue (BUG)
