iPhone XS died - black screen first then died

On the 7th of July, the screen on my iPhone X plus died. Initially for about a day, it was vibrating when called, but after about 14 hours even that stopped. The phone is now completely dead. There is no water damage to the phone nor drop damage.

I am pretty devastated as I had completed a lot of work which hadn’t been backed up – and very keen for it to switch back on. It does not react to the ‘volume up, volume down, power button’ trick.
