Apple Watch 4 Doesn’t track stair climbed...

Is anyone else having this problem - their Apple Watch 4 isn’t tracking flights of stairs climbed during workouts?

I’ll bet you’ve tried different workout types and nothing works.

I tried everything, been on the phone with tech support forever. Deleted, reinstalled, paired, unpaired. Recalibrated. Nothing worked until I stumbled across the solution accidentally.

It WILL track flights climbed but ONLY if you’re not using workout (or any other 3rd party app that draws data from workout) to record the flights climbed. None of the workout types will give you flights climbed. But if you don’t start a workout, and simply climb stairs, it will. Apple MUST be aware of this by now, but they won’t own up to it. Instead, if you call tech support, they’ll just waste your time making like they’re trying to help. Shame on you Apple. You tout this as the premium workout training device and it’s subpar at best!
