Speakers for iPad Air 2 and/or iPhone XR

Have an iPad Air 2 and iPhone XR, would like relatively inexpensive - but still decent - speakers that would work with one or both devices. Will only use indoors so waterproof is not a concern. Will only use in the room I'm in so they don't need to project to other rooms.

Prefer wireless but willing to use wired. I know both devices have built-in speakers but they are very "tinny" sounding. Can't afford to spend a lot but would like better sound than the built-in speakers.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
