Using my Imac as a TV
Hi all,
I've just moved and am using my second bedroom as an office. What I don't want (space) is too many monitors cluttering up the bedroom. Is there a way that I can use my Imac 21" as a TV?
thanks

The BBC iPlayer has a lot of programs and some films available to stream, and you can also watch the channels live (actually about 40 seconds behind). ITV and Ch4 also have 'hubs' with some material on them, the ITV hub also providing live viewing. All this is on web pages.
Depends on how you want to do it?
Does your cable/satellite provider offer a streaming service? Some networks will allow you to stream their shows and other content by signing in with your TV provider account...
I watch TV on the iMac in my den all the time, but I use DirecTV Now, which is a pure streaming service.
There is also the streaming content from PlutoTV (cough).
No.
Thanks - oh well, my guests will just have to do without TV!!!
I don't subscribe to any satellite service I only use Freeview
There is a variety of "real time" streaming services:
SlingTV, PlayStation Vue, DirecTV Now, YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV.
These are replacements for the typical CATV services. Search them
out and decide which is best for you.
Of course, there are always services like Netflix.
