Mac Mini: HDMI to DVI-D or Mini Displayport to DVI-D?
Hello,
This is about a mid-2011 MacMini connecting to a Dell flat panel LCD monitor (DELL P2014H). The monitor has VGA and DVI-D connectors. I've been connecting from the Mac Mini's Mini DisplayPort connector to VGA via an adaptor. But I'm about to try to switch to different cabling and have choices that include a mini DisplayPort to DVI-D cable or an HDMI to DVI-D cable (no adaptor in either case).
For the foreseeable future, this Mac Mini will have no need to connect to (for example) a TV via HDMI, so that's not a factor.
Any reason I should prefer one over the other? (This is for a monitor that maxes out at 1600x900; audio is not a factor.)
Thanks!
