Home button intermittent and Touch ID doesn't work

Yesterday, my iPhone SE (ok I know I need to upgrade) Touch ID just stopped working. Additionally, my home button doesn't respond when pressed, until after several trys it will finally respond. However, when I'm in my normal screen view the home button works fine with no delay. I have tried several "fixes" with no progress. I did have my battery replaced a few weeks ago at an Apple Store, could they have done something that's causing this issue. Any assistance or help figuring this out would be appreciated!
