Mail crashes continually - started two days ago

Hello,

I can't keep my mail connected. It will stay on for maybe 30 seconds, then crashes.

Tried all the usual remedies. And I got the latest Mojave update today, too. Thought it would help. Nope.

This will only let me add some of the crash report......

Not sure how, but it seems to have fixed itself. I have run the Disk Utility maybe twice a day since my first post. Earlier this morning my computer crashed really badly and I had to force turn it off. Ran Disk Utility and have had the mail on all day with no difficulties or crashes. Maybe the force off did the trick.

Thanks anyway.

Greetings Diane Janowski,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you can launch the Mail app, but it will then crash after a few seconds. There are a couple things you can try that may be able to help. I would recommend you read these articles and use them to help troubleshoot the issue.

macOS Sierra: If an app freezes or quits unexpectedly

If Mail unexpectedly quits when viewing certain messages

Please don't hesitate to let us know if the steps resolved your issue or if you need additional assistance.

Take care.
