No one here can provide you with an "official" answer to that question ... only Apple can, and they historically have never announced any details on future products. At best, you will get speculation.
FWIW, a number of us here have been migrating away from Apple networking hardware since their announcement awhile back. In my case, I have replaced my Apple gear with that from the Ubiquiti UniFi line with only a single Time Capsule that I retained for simple file sharing services. Time Machine backups are going to both a directly attached WD My Book Pro and a Synology NAS. AirPlay streaming is going to my Apple TVs or other third-party AirPlay-enabled devices.
Your replacement options will hinge around, whether or not, your home is pre-wired for Ethernet. If so, you have a better chance to go with networking hardware that will provide you with the best overall bandwidth. If not, you will find that you will trade convenience for speed.
