Brightness of phone. Please help. Got phone 4 months ago

The brightness in my phone suddenly lowered it self, and the screen now looks darker, but it’s not because of the auto brightness thing.

If you increase the brightness to its maximum it never reaches what the actual brightness for an iPhone is. You see the things in the iPhone A lot much darker and it’s very difficult to see in Plain daylight because the brightness is not strong enough

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 12

About brightness levels

iOS devices use an ambient light sensor to adjust brightness levels based on the light conditions around you. The sensor lowers brightness in dark locations and raises brightness in light locations. The auto-brightness feature is on by default.

When auto-brightness is on, you'll notice that your device's brightness slider moves according to changing light conditions.

In iOS 11 and later, you can turn auto-brightness on or off in Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations.

iPod touch doesn't support the auto-brightness feature.
