instagram keeps losing option to show show full width

I am not sure what is going on here but in order to show an image or video full width in Instagram I used to just press the "<>" button but the entire page where this option is gets skipped. Instead, I get taken strait to the effects page. If I delete the install and reinstall it shows up again but after a while (hours days not really sure yet) it disappears again. See attached i mages. Any ideas?
