I have the same issue of my search browser redirecting to yahoo and I'm about to throw my MacBook across the room. I have changed every default setting to google, have no extensions, and it still isn't working. someone please help me!!!

This is software you must pay for. I am having the same issue. Literally go to Google.com and type my query into the web page and when I click search it gives me my results in yahoo. When I look at the preference everything reads google, and I even deleted yahoo from the list.
Is there anything else I can do other than download this non-apple software?
I suspect you have installed adware/malware. Try running this trusted utility https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/
