Using Safari, google is getting redirected to Yahoo.

I have tried a few thing but nothing seems to work. Do I need to download a program to scan my iMac to solve this issue?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.2

What have you tried---I assume you have gone into preferences and chosen Google as your default browser.

Yes , I did that. I was able to fix the issues using malwarebytes.
