Hi,
I am trying to migrate all my data from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone 7 both running on iOS 12.4 and using the new migration tool.
I have followed the steps described on the Apple support page and unfortunately I never get the new screen "Transfer your data" to be able to select "Transfer from iPhone" option.
Any clue?

Bluetooth turned on on both devices?
Both are connected to power?
Phones are in close proximity?
I had that happen i canceled setup rebooted both phones and it gave me the option then ensure both plugged in . It took a couple tries rebooting phones until i saw option then it figured out guess its buggy
I was using iPhone X max and Iphone 11 max pro just got , trying remember for sure both were plugged in power like cord , i ensured both had Bluetooth on , 12.4.1 update was on both, the old phone has find me iPhone turned off , for first few tries just had no option so locked old phone then rebooted new one let it turn on where was saying Hola then unlock old phone and it would see the other phone and get option set up , keep in mind new iPhone 11 pro max was clean meaning like a reset phone as I didn’t set it up at all , in one of the tries I reset new iPhone 11 pro max to factory settings just because I went to far in set up thinking may get option later, and we’re next to each other obviously the old phone also had backup iCloud turned off
In my case both phones were updated to 12.4, both had Bluetooth on , both were connected to power and were side by side
Anyone figured this out yet? I have the same problem. Phone jumps directly to to "restore from backup" following the quick setup. Never get the screen where i can choose to back up from other phone. I can only get past the face iD setup and then straight to icloud back up. And yes, both phones are 12.4, bluetooth on etc..
Yes, and the screen never showing up...
Maybe there is a limitation to this feature related to the amount of data to be transferred? Meaning this iPhone to iPhone data transfer option in not prompted when the amount of data to be transferred is too big (in my case it is only 15 Gb so not that much)
Still not working for me as of today. We are trying to migrate a bunch of phones to new ones, and the screen never pops up. Yes both are 12.4, yes plugged in, yes Bluetooth (that we know, the other phone is new and has no settings when we get to that screen)
I am only prompted with the usual restore options like restore from an iCloud backup, set up as new phone, etc..
I have the same problem between an 7 and an XR - both running 12.4
I’m only presented with the old transfer options, not the new one.
Did you figure it out? I’m wondering as well.
I've been trying repeatedly as well but to no avail. Is there any variables that you took note of differently when it succeeded?
