Missing Apple ID credentials on reset iPad

I'm gonna start of saying, no I probably didn't make the smartest move to begin with, BUT.

I have an older iPad (I don't remember the year), and my now ex girlfriends borrowed it and have logged on with her Apple ID, which took a while to find a password for back in the day.

I wanted to put it back to factory settings, and with that I thought the Apple ID logon, would disappear. I therefore reset it through iTunes holding down the Home button.

Boom, It's now reset and then I come to the screen where it asks for her Apple ID. For the love of god, I cannot remember her password. I have tried with everything that I know of, just so I can register this iPad to my own Apple ID.

And she's not replying any messages from me asking about her Apple ID.

I tried download some third party software that should be able to remove the Apple ID. Buuuuut, they do not work if the iPad is not set up.

I'm a little but SOL here, so I'm hoping someone have something magic trick they can help me with.

Many Thanks

Patrick
