I pay $3/month for 200GB of icloud storage, but my phone says I have 5GB for free.

Are there different iclouds? I made the (reasonable?) assumption that icloud was icloud, and if I pay for it, my stuff syncs to it.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Also, I work in business so I understand that less clarity can be good for the bottom line. In this case, however, strong clarity would also be much appreciated.

Finally, Apple decided to randomly sign me up for Apple Music (something I and many of us would never do, no offense to Apple) last month (June) and I just received a bill of $10 this month. Any idea about this? Am I unwittingly paying for a U2 album so Bono can save the world?

Hope you don't mind a little comic relief in the community posts...

Thanks!

Every Apple ID has 5GB of iCloud storage that is free. That is enough for many people (including me) but if you need more you can upgrade for a monthly fee. See: iCloud storage plans and pricing - Apple Support

The usual reason for an unexpected Apple Music charge is when someone agrees to the free trial and then doesn't cancel. The following link has cancellation instructions: Manage your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support
