Home button doesn´t work but Touch ID does

Hello everyone,

A little backstory. I was at my friends place and he has got a pool. So my best idea was to take my iPhone 7 and mess with it in the water. The phone to the bottom of the pool a few times but it was all in range of the IP certification. After that I dried the phone and dayafter the Home Button stopped working but the Touch ID works normally. I´m currently running iOS 13 dev beta 4 to which I updated today. So my obvious question is does anyone have any idea how could I fix it?

Thanks in advance

iPhone 7

You’d need to get it replaced out of warranty. Water damage is not covered and nothing about the IP67 rating means it is suitable as an underwater device (see About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later - Apple Support ). If water got inside it, the damage will likely continue to progress as parts corrode.
