I want to take a string and turn it into a date but I cannot find the format how to enter the text so it is recognized as date. Please see the screenshot.

Hi! It‘s possible - but hidden in the variables menu. Specify ‚as Date‘ and define your custom format:

I see that your stackoverflow post has received two generic string to NSDate responses comparable to what I posted earlier.

Thanks for your reply. I saw these documentation pages but they show how to format a date to text. I’m looking for how to write a text to read it as date (and the use it further from there). Or is that even possible?
This is great! Thank you very much. So my mistake was to use the magic variable directly in "use date", instead of using "Given date" and filling that with the magic variable. Only then it works with the custom format, as you suggested. Thanks a lot!!
