ipod classic (6 gen.) stuck in disk mode and nothing seems to work, can't restore via iTunes

My iPod classic (6 gen.) stuck in disk mode. When i disconnect it form my pc it goes to DFU mode, when i connect it to pc with iTunes on, hoping to restore it ipod switches to disk mode. When i waited couple of minutes iTunes offered to restore my ipod but after a while informed me the it can't be done due to some error (1439). Is it possible that hdd or partition is damaged or corrupted? Would any tool help?

Hi p373rz37,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that your iPod Classic appears to be in Disk Mode, you've tried to restore it, but iTunes is unable to complete the restore due to error 1439. I can see why you'd reach out about this; I'd like to help. I'd recommend disconnecting the iPod from your computer and trying a different USB port; then use the steps in the following article restart the iPod, and try to restore again using "If your iPod turns on but gets stuck during startup" here: If your iPod won't turn on or seems frozen

Best Regards.
