So I'm new to the MacBook world. Haven't used one in 12 years. But as I'm trying to updated and download Mojave, my Wi-Fi is slow. It stopped downloading so i connected it with a Ethernet cable and it's still slow. So i trashed it and tried starting over. Now, it doesn't want to download. I'm at work so I can't remember what it says when I try downloading again. I'll leave a comment down below.

have you tried the combo update which downloads and is saved as a dmg?

I have a suggestion. You may have too many devices using your internet connection at the same time. This will slow your download speed. Reduce the number of devices using your internet connection, while you are trying to download the Mojave installer.
What year is your MacBook? Every MacBook since 2015 is compatible.
