iCloud storage full error

Recently I filled up my 5 GB iCloud storage space and decided to delete some photos/videos to free up some space.

However even though I was able to get it down to 4.2 GB, I still get an error message that says my iCloud storage is full and that photos will now be immediately deleted and won’t go to the “Recently deleted” folder.

I tried restarting the phone but this has resulted in no fix. Please help.

Hi pervaiz34,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're seeing an error about full iCloud Storage even though you've made space available. I can see why you'd reach out about this; I'd like to help. It's possible that you're still seeing this error because the amount of data that Photos is trying to upload is greater than what is available in iCloud. I'd recommend trying to free up some more storage to see if you continue to get the error: Manage your iCloud storage

If you continue to see the error, I'd recommend reaching out to Apple for further investigation: Contact Apple Support

Best Regards.
