Apple Maps keeps changing my home address...without my permission
I have a question that is a general annoyance for me. We built a new home in a new subdivision in October. Apple Maps is just starting to recognize the new streets, so I expected some issues.
Apple keeps changing my home address in my personal contacts. I set it - both by the physical address by street, city, state and zip - and then by placing the pin on the map. I have added a pinned location and named it "Home" in maps, too on the same spot. Yet when I open my contact, the address is changed to Bailey Street in Goodlettsville TN or Beasley Ave. in Westmoreland TN. Both of those locations are 20 minutes and 45 minutes from my hometown, respectively. My street does start with a B but is not in either of those towns.
I can understand the map pin getting confused because it's a new street. But WHY does Apple/iPhone have the right to keep overriding my edit and changing the physical name of the address in my contacts? As a result, when someone asks for my address, and I type "My address is...." the phone or message fills in with the incorrect Bailey Street or Beasley Ave. address and pin location.
Troubleshooting - yes, I have edited the location. Yes, I have "reported" the issue in maps, contacts, and by direct message to an Apple support person. I just edited the location again, for about the 25 time this year, and hit my contact card and it now has changed to the wrong address again without me doing anything. Yes, I have made sure none of the incorrect addresses are stored anywhere else in my phone.
This issue is driving me insane. Any help here and has anyone else had this issue? Thanks!
