iPhone 8 Plus scratch on aluminum surrounding the camera lens
I just recently got my iPhone 8 Plus replaced as part of Express Replacement under AppleCare+. It looks like once my iPhone was replaced, it looks like a refurbished iPhone than like new. Suddenly after getting my replacement iPhone in the mail, I scratched the aluminum part of camera lens by putting the iPhone camera lens protection on. I ended up scratching it after a few times after adjusting the camera lens protector. Since AppleCare+ does not cover cosmetic wear and tear and the AppleCare+ warranty expires July 2020 with one more accidental damage, I do not know what to do? Should I trade in my iPhone 8 Plus after AppleCare+ warranty expires? It is not really worth it if I trade-in the replacement iPhone 8 Plus and get the same model for a cheaper price, but the trade-in will decrease. I would end up paying the same amount when I purchased my iPhone 8 Plus for the first time if I do not do the trade-in.
I cannot put on the aluminum cover of the camera lens because of the glass screen protector. If I put it with the glass screen protector on, it will not stick onto it very well. It does not look really nice with the camera lens cover on and not many people with iPhones uses that cover to protect the camera.
