Using same iPhone number with your watch

I was told at the Apple store that you can share your current iPhone phone number with your watch. Verizon told me no, you need a new line. ?

Yes, the Watch shares the same number as your phone. Yes, you have to pay an additional $10 a month to Verizon for the privilege.

As Iris says. Some networks call it an extra line, others call it an extra cost plugin/feature on your existing line but they are the same thing behind the scenes.
