can I use mid 2011 imac display with mac mini ?

My iMac 2011 is getting to the point where it's OS won't be upgradable any more. I was thinking instead of buying a new iMac I would buy a Mac mini 2018 and save some coin, if I could use my iMac 2011 as a display. Save the planet and money (win-win). Is this possible?
